Healthy Habits: What is healthy for you?

What is Healthy- Being healthy is more than just what you eat or how much you exercise. Health isn't just about being 100% fit or not needing medical care. It's about being mentally and emotionally fit too. It means understanding and accepting your emotions, maintaining a positive self-image, and being able to make decisions for yourself. 

The key to maintaining health is consistency in taking care of both your mind and body every single day. This means choosing the right food for your body, staying active in ways that serve you best, prioritizing rest when needed, and creating a lifestyle that supports your overall health goals.  

When we talk about being healthy, it's not just about losing weight or fitting into a certain size. It's about understanding what your body genuinely needs and respecting its unique requirements. What may be healthy for one person may not be healthy for another. Let's face it, every person is unique and has different nutritional needs. What works for one might not work for another. Hence, it's crucial to listen to your body and provide it with the nourishment it needs and desires – whether that means vegan or non-vegan food, or any other lifestyle choices. 

It's not just about the absence of disease, but a general feeling of wellness and vitality. It means being proactive in seeking medical care when needed while also recognizing that every human is unique. 

Creating a lifestyle that supports your overall healthy goals 

When we talk about physical health, we often forget the importance of our mental well-being. Stress, for example, can cause physical harm to our bodies if left unchecked. To achieve true health, you must address both aspects simultaneously. 

How to create: To create a healthy life we need to look at what is healthy for us and create a goal towards Happier Healthier Living Habits around those things. We can build up to the life you envision for yourself.  

There are a few questions to ask yourself to decide what is healthy for you.  

  1. What does healthy look like for you?  
  2.  What area of your life do you feel needs to be healthier than it is?  
  3. What does your perfect happier healthier life look like?  
  4. What do you need to do to get there?  
  5.  Are there any daily habits that you have been wanting to start? What is holding you back from them? 

These questions are a great start to taking that first step on your individual healthy habits journey! Healthy looks differently for each of us and will change through out our life. It's okay if your habits look different than others as this is not about being perfect but making sustainable changes that last and create the happy healthy life we desire.
